M84 (NGC 4374) is a Lenticular (S0) Galaxy located in the constellation Virgo, is best viewed during Late Spring, and is magnitude 11. The naked eye can see magnitude 6 objects (magnitude 8 under ideal dark sky conditions). It is 5' in size. For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) in size, or 1/2°.
