Messier M74 (NGC 628) is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Pisces in the M74 Group of galaxies.
Messier M74 is best viewed during early spring, is magnitude 10.5*, and can be viewed with small telescope. It is 10.2 x 9.5' in size. For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) in size.
