M44, also known as the Beehive Cluster (Praesepe), is located in the constellation Cancer, and is best viewed during Early Spring. The naked eye can see magnitude 6 objects (up to magnitude 8 under ideal dark sky conditions). For reference, the full moon is 30' (arc minutes) in size, or 1/2°.
